Directions to Guergilles from Brest airport
Directions to Guergilles from Brest airport (or arriving from the west) 1 hour 13 mins 92.3km Brest airport is at Guipavas, a suburb to the east of Brest. When leaving the airport follow signs to N12. Join the N12 heading east, in the direction of Morlaix, Guingamp and St Brieuc. Stay on the N12. After you have by-passed Morlaix, crossing the viaduct over the river. Continue for another 15 to 20 minutes, and look out for the exit sign posted, D11 Plouaret and Lannion, (Côte de Granite Rose). Take this exit and follow the D11 to Plouaret. When you reach Plouaret, keep going straight through the town, and keep heading north, still on the D11, towards Ploubezre and Lannion. About 8 or 10 minutes out of Plouaret you will come to a sign on the right for the “Chateau Kergrist”, and a couple of minutes after that you will see another sign on the right for the “Chapelle de Kerfons”. Take this turning, then turn right again towards the “Chapelle de Kerfons”. Very soon after this T junction you will pass a single ancient stone cross on your right, and immediately after that the road forks and you will see another sign to the left for “Chapelle de Kerfons”. Take this left fork and about 100 metres ahead of you is our house, a large stone farm house with wooden shutters. Just outside the gate is a sign with “Covenant le Flem” to the left and “Chapelle de Kerfons” to the right. Go in through the gate and give us a shout… If you miss the turning off the D11 to “Chapelle de Kerfons”, and find yourselves in Ploubezre, you will have gone too far north, and should turn around, heading back in the direction of Plouaret. Shortly after the sign saying that you are leaving Ploubezre, you will see a sign to the left for Tonquedec, and just after that you come to a fork in the road with 5 stone crosses on the point of the fork. This place is known as “Les cinq croix”. Take this left fork. You are now on the Route de Tonquedec. After some modern houses on the right you will see the ancient stone cross, described earlier, and then the fork in the road, also mentioned before. 100 metres after that you are here…. |
